The Open de Madrid is a European Tour event which takes place in October. The current champion is Mads Vibe Hastrup from Denmark. The event has been played since 1968. It is played at various course in Madrid and takes place the same week as the HSBC World Matchplay.

Due to its position in the calendar the tournament is some what over shadowed and many of the leading European players are missing. It has a relatively small prize fund. In 2007 Mads Vibe Hastrup won the tournament by three shots shooting four rounds in the 60s for a -16 par total.
