HISTORY
 

The Open de France is a European Tour event which takes place in June. The current champion is Pablo Larrazabal from Spain. The tournament takes place at Le Golf National in Paris, France. It has one of the toughest finishes of any tour golf course.

In recent years the Open de France has become one of Europe's leading events. The prize fund has increased significantly and they have introduced qualifying competitions. It was founded in 1906 and has been a European Tour event since 1972.
