The Omega European Masters is a European Tour event which takes place in September. The current champion is Brett Rumford from Australia. The tournament takes place at Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club in Valais, Switzerland. It was first played in 1923 and has been a Tour event since 1972.
The Omega European Masters is played in the mountains of Switzerland and is a favourite event amongst many golfers. This includes Sergio Garcia who has a home beside the course and claimed the 2005 title. In 2007 Brett Rumford won the title beating Phillip Archer in a playoff. |
