The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles is a European Tour event which takes place in August. The current champion is Marc Warren from Scotland. The tournament takes place at Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland. In 2004 it switched to the PGA Centenary Course which will host the 2014 Ryder Cup.
The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles was founded in 1998. The new host course was designed by Jack Nicklaus. In 2007 Marc Warren won the title beating Simon Wakefield in a playoff. Both players had chances to win before Warren secured the victory on the second playoff hole. |
