The Honda Classic is a PGA Tour event and takes place in early March. The current defending champion is Ernie Els from South Africa. The 2007 tournament will be held on a different course. The Champion Course at PGA National Resort & Spa will stage the event this year.

Between 2003 - 06 the Honda Classic was held at Mirosel Country Club. In an attempt to improve the tournament the sponsors have changed the location. It is still being staged in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In 2008 Ernie Els won his first title for over three years beating Luke Donald by a shot.
