The Dunhill Championship is a co-sanctioned event on the Sunshine and European Tours since 1995. The current champion is John Bickerton. It takes place in December but counts towards the next European Tour season. It is staged at Leopard Creek Golf Club.
The tournament was founded in 1923 and has had some famous winners including Bobby Locke and Gary Player. In 2007 John Bickerton was handed the title by Ernie Els who hot two shots in the water on the final hole to make a treble bogey 8 when a bogey would of won him the tournament. |
