The Crowne Plaza Invitational is a PGA Tour event and takes place in May. The current champion is Phil Mickelson from America. The tournament takes place at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. In recent years it has been called the Bank of America Colonial.
The tournament was first held in 1946 and is now the oldest tournament on the PGA Tour to be held at its original venue. It is one of just four invitational events. In recent years Kenny Perry has won the title twice and finished runner up once. Tim Herron won in 2006, his first victory for seven years. |
