The British Masters is one of the biggest golf tournaments in England. It is part of the European Tour schedule and takes place in September this year. It has had many different sponsors in recent years including Quinn Direct, Daily Telegraph, Victor Chandler and One 2 One.

It has been staged at several different golf courses with the 2006 tournament being staged on the De Vere course at Belfry. At the bottom of the page is a table of where the event has been staged over recent years. The tournament is one of few to receive live coverage on terrestrial television.
