The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic is a celebrity pro-am which takes place in January each year. It is held in California on four different gold course. On the first four days the professionals play each course once with a team of three amateurs. The final day is then contested by the leading pros.
The format of pro-am results in very long rounds and with the tournament held over five days many of the leading professionals stay away. Tiger Woods for example has never competed in the event. The courses are normally set up quite easy for the celebs and this has resulted in low scoring. |
