Johnson Wagner was born on March 23rd, 1980 in Texas, USA. He attended the Washington & Lee University before turning pro in 2002. The following season he joined the Nationwide Tour as a rookie. He spent the next four years playing his golf on America's second tier tour.
He struggled in his rookie season but found some consistency in 2004 and 2005 finishing 42nd and 36th on the money list. His game then hit a new level in 2006 when he won two tournaments on the Nationwide Tour. He finished the season 2nd on the money list to earn his place on the PGA Tour. |
