Bo Van Pelt was born on May 16th, 1975 in Indiana, USA. He turned pro in 1998 and earnt his place on the PGA Tour via the Qualifying School. On his first season on tour he only made seven cuts. He then joined the Nationwide Tour and after a poor first season finished 11th in the 2001 rankings.

This was enough to win back his PGA Tour card. However he struggled again and has to return to the Nationwide Tour. This time he finished 5th in the rankings including a tour victory. In 2004 he finished 39th on the money list and has continued to improve his game.
