Miles Tunnicliff was born on July 30th, 1968 in Plymouth, England. He turned pro in 1989 and made eight failed attempts at qualifying school. In 1995 he finally made it and was a rookie on the European Tour the following year. Since then Tunnicliff has won two tournaments.
His first victory was a very emotional one. Just two weeks previously his mum had died of cancer. With this motivation Tunnicliff landed the 2002 Great North Open winning by four shots. Two years later he won his second title and finished 34th on the Order of Merit. |
