Kevin Sutherland was born on July 4th, 1964 in California, USA. He turned pro in 1987 and finish 4th at the PGA Tour Q-School in 1996. Sutherland has been a member of the main tour ever since. Clearly his biggest moment of his career came when he won the Accenture Matchplay.
He went into the event in 2002 as the number 62 seeded player in a field of 64. Despite being the underdog in every match he played he putted superbly and beat Scott McCarron 1up to win the title. He also finished T9 at the Open Championship and won more than $1 million that season |
