Kyron Sullivan was born on June 22nd, 1976 in Barry Wales. He turned pro in 2001 and joined the Challenge Tour three years later. After several consistent years on the Challenge Tour, Sullivan started to produce some of his best golf during the 2006 season.

He collected his first victory at the Estoril Challenge. Despite a final round 74 he finished joint leader and went on to defeat Englishman Ben Mason in a playoff. Two runner up places followed and Sullivan finished the year ranked number 6th on the money list.
