Steve Stricker was born on February 13th, 1967 in Wisconsin, USA. He attended the University of Illinois and turned pro in 1990. His best season on tour was in 1996 when he won two tournaments and finished 4th on the money list. He finished 2nd in the 1998 US PGA Championship.

Stricker added his third title in 2001 when he won the Accenture Matchplay beating Piere Fulke 2 & 1 in the final. After several years out of the limelight he has had a real return to form in 2006 improving his world rankings and earning his place back on the PGA Tour.
