Lee Slattery was born on August 3rd, 1978 in Southport, England. He turned pro in 1998 but struggled in his early years. In 2002 he found himself working in a clothes shop after having to take a rest from golf due to illness. However by 2004 he was back and back with a bang.

He started 2004 playing on the EuroPro Tour. After some impressive results he progressed onto the Challenge Tour. Despite only playing 11 events he topped the money list. After a poor rookie season on the European Tour his results improved in 2006 and he finished 91st on the order of merit.
