Jeev Milkha Singh was born on December 15th, 1971 in Chandigarh, India. His dad was a famous sprinter. He turned pro in 1993. He played on the Asian Tour during the start of his career and won four tournaments during the 90's. In 1997 he finished 7th at the European Tour Q- School.

He had a steady rookie season in 1998 and was the first Indian Golfer to play on the European Tour. His career was hampered by several injuries which slowed down his progress. He made a real breakthrough in 2006 winning his first event in China and then claiming the end of season Volvo Masters.
