Wes Short Jr was born on December 4th, 1963 in Texas, USA. He attended the University of Texas and turned pro in 1987. He spent 10 years working as a club pro before joining the mini tours. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1998 and 2003.
He earnt his place on the PGA Tour by finishing through Q-School. In his rookie season he was limited to just 12 events due to a back injury. He was granted a medical extension for 2005 and took full advantage. He won the Michelin Championship at Las Vegas defeating Jim Furyk in a playoff. |
