Jarmo Sandelin was born on May 10th, 1967 in Finland although he is now Swedish in nationality. He turned pro in 1985 and has won five European Tour events. It was not until 1995 that Sandelin first appeared on the main tour in Europe. He is easily recognised by his colourful dress sense.

Sandelin's first victory came in 1995. His best season on tour was in 1999. He won two events, finished 9th on the Order of Merit and played in the Ryder Cup. After these achievements his game slipped and he struggled for several years. After re-dedicating himself to the game his results improved in 2006.
