John Rollins was born on June 25th, 1975 in Virginia, USA. He turned pro in 1997 and first played on the PGA Tour in 2000 via Q-School. He struggled in his first season but finished 6th on the Nationwide Tour in 2001 to gain his place back on the main tour.
In 2002 he won the Bell Canadian Open, his first tour victory. He started the final round seven shots behind but shot a superb 65. He then birdied the first playoff hole to win the title. A year later he lost in a playoff to Jonathan Kaye in the Buick Classic. In 2006 he did win his second tournament, the BC Open. |
