Loren Roberts was born on June 28th, 1955 in California, USA. He turned pro in 1975 and spent several years working as an assistant pro. He first played on the PGA Tour in 1981 but had little success and had to return to qualifying school on several occasions. He finally won in 1994.
This sparked a run of eight victories in nine years and earnt him over $15 million. In 1994 he lost to Ernie Els in a playoff in the US Open. Loren Roberts is an excellent putter and earnt himself the nickname "The Boss of the Moss". In 2005 he joined the Champions Tour where he has been very successful. |
