Wade Ormsby was born on August 31st, 1980 in Adelaide, Australia. He started playing golf aged just three and turned pro in 2001. Wade Ormsby first appeared in Europe at the Qualifying School in 2003. He managed to win a place on the European Tour by finishing in the top 35.

In his rookie season he struggled and only retained his card by finishing T6 in the last event to move up to 112th on the order of merit. The following season he was more consistent and two top tens saw him finish 71st in the rankings. However in 2006 he lost his form and came 133rd.
