Daisuke Maruyama was born on March 16th, 1971 in Chiba, Japan. He turned pro in 1994. He then played on the Japanese Tour between 2001 - 05. In 2005 he won the Fujisankei Classic. His finish on the Japanese money list earnt him exemption into the final round of the PGA Tour Qualifying School.
Maruyama finished 7th at the Q-School to earn his place on the PGA Tour for the very first time. After a shaky start which included several missed cuts, he found his game to secure multiple top 10 finishes. His best result so far on the tour was T3 at the International. |
