David Lynn was born on October 20th, 1973 in Stoke, England. He won the 1994 Greek Amateur Championship and turned pro in 1995. He earnt his place on the European Tour via the Challenge Tour in 1997. In his rookie season he lost his card missing eight cuts by just one shot.

David Lynn then went through Q-School to win his place back on the tour. He has been a very consistent performer and makes a lot of cuts. His only tournament victory came in 2004 when he won the KLM Open in Holland. He came close the following year finishing as runner up on two occasions.
