Edward Loar was born on November 15th, 1977 in Texas, USA. He played in the Walker Cup in 1999 before turning pro a year later. Loar plays most of his golf in Asia and has won two tournaments in that continent. His best season was 2005 when he finished 13th on the Asian Tour order of merit.
In 2003 he became the first left hander to win an Asian tournament when he landed the Thailand Open. In 2004 he beat Ernie Els amongst others to land the Korean Open. He occasionally plays in European Tour events and had his best finish in the 2006 Dunhill Links Championship where he came T2. |
