JL Lewis was born on July 18th, 1960 in Kansas, USA. He turned pro in 1984 and has won two tournaments on the PGA Tour. JL Lewis has been a consistent performer on the PGA Tour for some time now. Before 2006 he had finished inside the top 125 for 8 straight years.

A knee injury in May 2006 resulted in Lewis only playing 17 events. His best season was in 2003. He won his second tournament and finished 28th on the money list with over $2 million in earnings. His first win came in 1999 when he birdied the last hole and the playoff hole to land the John Deere Classic.
