David Howell was born on the 23rd of June 1975 in Swindon, England. He had a good amateur career and played in the Walker Cup in 1995. He then turned professional later that year. In 1998 he won the Australian PGA Championship and a year later won in Dubai.
Howell then went six years without winning but was gradually improving into a top class golfer. In 2005 he won the BMW International in Germany and the HSBC Champions Tournament. The highlight of his career came in 2006 winning the BMW Championship at Wentworth. |
