Charley Hoffman was born on December 27th, 1976 in San Diego, USA. He turned pro in 2000 and spent four seasons on the Nationwide Tour. In 2004 he won an event on the Nationwide Tour but only finished 30th on the money list. The following year he won his PGA Tour card.
In his rookie season he made 21 cuts and had 5 top tens. This was enough for him to finish 82nd on the money list and secure his playing rights. He won his first PGA Tour title in 2007, the Bobe Hope Chrysler Classic beating John Rollins in a playoff. He is one of the longest drivers averaging over 300 yards. |
