Soren Hansen was born on March 21st, 1974 in Denmark. In 1997 he won the Danish Amateur Stroke Play Championship and turned pro later in the year. In 1998 he was a member of the Challenge Tour and won the Navision Open in his home country. He has been on the European Tour ever since.
Hansen has been a very consistent performer on the European Tour. His best placing on the order of merit is 20th which he achieved in 2002. This was helped by his victory in the Murphy's Irish Open where he won a four man playoff. He had to wait five years to claim his second tour title. |
