Anders Hansen was born on September 16th, 1970 in Denmark. He started playing golf at the age of 10. He won two Danish Amateur titles. He attended the University of Houston before turning professional in 1995. He struggled for a few years before finishing in the top 115 of Europe in 1999.
Hansen's only European Tour win came in 2002 at the flagship event, the Volvo PGA Championship. He won the tournament in record fashion shooting 19 under par, the lowest score at the time. He has represented Denmark in the World Cup on three separate occasions. |
