Bill Haas was born on May 24th, 1982 in North Carolina, USA. He is the son of famous PGA Tour player Jay Haas. Bill had an excellent college career winning 10 tournaments and a whole host of awards. He played in the 2003 Walker Cup before turning pro.

Bill Haas failed to make the impact that was expected after joining the professional ranks. He spent his first two seasons on the Nationwide Tour with little success. In 2005 he birdied the final hole at Q-School to win a place on the PGA Tour. He finished 99th on the money list as a rookie in 2006.
