Ross Fisher was born on November 22nd, 1980 in Kingston, England. He is attached to Wentworth Golf Club, home of the BMW Championship. He has been playing golf at Wentworth since the age of three. In 2004 he decided it was time to turn pro. He had a handicap of plus 4 at the time.

Fisher was unsuccessful at the European Tour qualifying school in 2002 and 2004. He spent 2005 on the Challenge Tour finishing 18th on the rankings. He earnt his full European Tour playing rights by coming 14th at Q-School. He had an excellent rookie season in 2006 claiming 4 top ten finishes.
