Bob Estes was born on February 2nd, 1966 in Texas, USA. He started playing golf at the age of 4 and set his sights on the PGA Tour when he was just twelve. He turned pro in 1988 and had his rookie season on tour the next year. He was in contention for the 1993 PGA Championship but finished T6.

Estes won his first tournament in 1994 in Texas. He then started to struggle with his game and lost his card in 1996. He then earnt his place back on tour the following year and has been there ever since. His best season came in 2001 when he won two tournaments.
