Steve Elkington was born in Inverell, Australia on December 8th, 1962. He turned pro way back in 1985 and has played most his golf on the PGA Tour. His career highlight came in 1995 when he won the US PGA Championship ar Riviera beating Colin Montgomerie in a playoff.
He has nine other wins to his name including the Players Championship twice in 1991 and 1997. Elkington has been cursed with injuries all throughout his career and missed most of the 2003 season. He is also allergic to grass which has caused obvious problems to his game. |
