Johan Edfors was born on October 10th, 1975 in Sweden. He attended the University of Texas and played on the golf team for two years. He turned pro in 1997 and spent four seasons struggling on the Challenge Tour. In 2003 he won two tournaments and finished first on the Challenge Tour rankings.
On his first season on the European Tour he narrowly missed out on securing his card after a spectator walked off with his ball. He then went to Q-School and won his card back. His career took off in 2006 winning three tournaments including the British Masters and Scottish Open. |
