David Duval was born on November 9th, 1971 in Florida, USA. He turned pro in 1993 and won two tournaments on the Nationwide Tour that season. Duval made a massive impact in America in 1997 when he won three tournaments in a row at the end of the season including the Tour Championship.

In the next two years Duval went on to win another eight tournaments. His most memorable victory came in the 1999 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic when he shot a final round 59 to win the tournament. In 2001 he landed the Open Championship.. Since that win his game has gone into free fall.
