Jason Dufner was born on March 24th, 1977 in Ohio, USA. He did not start playing golf until the age of 15 and turned pro in 2000. He spent three years on the Nationwide Tour between 2001 - 2003 winning in his first season. He was a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2004.

This is the only season he has spent on the main tour and things did not go well for Dufner. He finished the season ranked 164th on the money list to lose his card. However in 2006 he bounced back by winning his second Nationwide Tour event and finishing 8th in the rankings.
