David Drysdale was born on March 19th, 1975 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He started playing golf at the age of 12 and turned pro in 1995. Drysdale has been on and off the European Tour and has been unable to establish himself as a top 100 player. He has been to Q-School eight times.

Drysdale first qualified for the European Tour in 2002 after a successful trip to the Qualifying School. In his rookie season he finished 114th on the money list to retain his card. This is the only time he has achieved this and lost his card the following season.
