Luke Donald was born on December 7th, 1977 in Hertfordshire, England. He took up a golf scholarship at Northwestern University, studying art. In 2001 he turned pro and a year later he won his first tournament. He plays nearly all of his golf on the PGA Tour and is a very consistent performer.

In 2004 he picked up two victories on the European Tour at the Scandanavian Masters and Omega European Masters. His biggest win to date was probably the 2005 World Cup playing along side Paul Casey. In 2006 he won for a second time in America landing the Honda Classic.
