Marco Dawson was born on November 17th, 1963 in Freising, Germany. He started playing golf at the age of nine after his family moved to Florida. Dawson turned pro in 1985 and was a member of the PGA Tour from 1991 - 97. In recent years he has struggled on tour mainly due to injury.

He has one victory on the Nationwide Tour which came in 2002. This helped him finish 8th on the money list. He then missed the whole of 2003 due to injury and played just 6 tournaments in 2004. The following two seasons he failed to achieve a place in the top 125 but finished T22 at Q-School in 2006.
