Chris Couch was born on May 1st, 1973 in Florida, USA. He started playing golf at the age of 7 and was the leading junior golfer in the US. He attended the University of Florida and turned pro in 1995. Couch struggled in his early years as a pro and it wasn't until 2001 that he became recognised.
Couch won five times on the Nationwide Tour between 2001 and 2005. He twice made it onto the PGA Tour but lost his card on both occasions. In 2006 he really made a name for himself winning the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. He shot rounds of 64 and 65 at the weekend and chipped in on the final hole. |
