Christian Cevaer was born on April 10th, 1970 in New Caledonia, France. At the age of 17 he was the World Junior Champion. He later attended Stanford University in California before turning pro in 1993. He has one tour victory to his name, the Open de Espana in 2004.
Cevaer had several set backs before making his breakthrough. In 1998 he made a radical swing change which took him a while to adjust to. Then when it seemed he was finding his game he had a skiing accident in 2002. He recovered to finish 41st on the order of merit in 2004, his best ever season. |
