Alejandro Canizares was born on January 9th, 1983 in Spain. His dad was a professional golfer, winning five tournaments and played four Ryder Cups. Canizares attended the Arizona State University in USA. In 2003 he won the NCAA Men's Golf Championship, the biggest collegiate golf competition.
He turned pro in 2006 and won the Russian Open on the European Tour. This was good enough to win his card. At the end of the 2007 season he went to the PGA Tour Qualifying School and successfully won his place on the Tour for the 2008 season. |
