Andrew Buckle was born on September 24th, 1982 in Brisbane Australia. He had a very good amateur career and won many junior events. He won the Boys 15 - 17 division at the World Junior Golf Championships on two separate occasions. He also won the Australian Amateur Championship.

He turned pro in 2002 and won the Queensland Open in his first professional event. He has played all over the world in the early stages of his career including Asia, Japan and Europe. In 2006 he won an event on the Nationwide Tour in America.
