Jeff Brehaut was born on June 13th, 1963 in California, USA. He turned pro in 1986 but struggled to make an initial impact. Between 1993 and 1998 he played on the Nationwide Tour winning two tournaments. He earnt his first PGA Tour card via the Q-School in 1997.

In 2000 he suffered a shoulder injury early in the year and failed to make a single cut. He then won the 2003 Q-School to again earn his place on the Tour. Had his best season in 2005 when he managed 5 top 10s and earnt over $1 million for the first time.
