Craig Bowden was born on June 18th, 1968 in Indiana, USA. He turned pro in 1989 and has spent many years on the Nationwide Tour. He has spent three seasons on the PGA Tour in the past but has failed to retain his card on all three attempts. His best season was 2004.

That season he finished 143rd on the money list and again had to join the Nationwide Tour. In 2006 Bowden had his best ever season on the Nationwide Tour. He won once during the year and ended the season 4th on the money list to gain a fourth attempt at the PGA Tour.
