Cameron Beckman was born on February 15th, 1970 in Minnesota, USA. He turned pro in 1993 and has been a member of the PGA Tour since 1999. Beckman's best season was in 2001. He collected his only tour victory to date at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic and finished 50th on the money list.

Beckman was close to pulling out of the event due to a neck injury. However he opted to play and birdied 3 of the last 5 holes to lift the trophy. In recent years Beckman has failed to reproduce this form and has finished outside the top 125. He is still a member of the PGA Tour after finishing T4 at Q-School.
