Brian Bateman was born on February 25th, 1975 in Louisiana, USA. He turned pro in 1996. He then spent five years on the Nationwide Tour. His best year on this tour was in 1998. He collected one victory and finished 20th on the money list. In recent years Bateman has been a member of the PGA Tour.

He has an amazing record at the Qualifying School. Having failed to maintain his card once since being a rookie in 2002, Bateman has been successful at Q-School five years running. He then made his breakthrough in 2007 winning the Buick Open beating the likes of Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods.
