Tommy Armour III was born on October 8th, 1959 in Colorado, USA. His grandfather Tommy Armour is a golf legend having won three of the four majors. Armour III started at the age of 10. He later attended the University of New Mexico before turning pro and joining the PGA Tour in 1981.

Tommy Armour III is regarded as one of the leading putters on the PGA Tour. He has won two tournaments. His most recent victory came at the 2003 Valero Texas Open. He shot a 72 hole scoring record of just 254 shots. In the past few seasons Armour III has struggled to find his best form.
