Stuart Appleby was born on May 1st, 1971 in Victoria, Australia. He turned pro in 1992 and began his career playing on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He soon moved to America finishing 5th on the Nike Tour in 1995 winning two tournaments along the way. He has since won 8 times on the PGA Tour.
His favourite event is the season opener, the Mercedes Championship. Appleby won the tournament three years in row between 2004 - 2006. He bounced back from personal tragedy in 1998 when his first wife died in a freak road accident in London. |
